Nylon laminating film is specifically designed for the use in 1-sided applications. It is very popular particularly for book covers and dust jackets, due to its uniquely stable and non-curling properties. When exposed to heat, as during lamination, nylon won’t stretch or expand. Accordingly, when cooling, nylon doesn’t shrink. It is also widely believed that nylon absorbs moisture in the air at about the same rate as the paper substrate – yet another “plus” in the fight against curl.
